With 114 participants and 50 papers presented, the 6th SONDRA workshop generated keen interest among participants and it will leave a lasting impression in the history of the Lab. This event, focused on Artificial Intelligence in Signal Processing and Quantum Technologies for radar, brought together experts, researchers, students, and industry professionals, contributing to exchanges and collaborations.
The workshop began with an inaugural plenary session led by Stéphane SAILLANT, SONDRA director followed by testimonials of the 4 Parties representatives of the Alliance: Prof. Romain Soubeyran (CentraleSupélec), Mr Chee Hoo Cheong (DSO), Prof. Silvija Gradečak-Garaj (NUS) and Mr Bruno Sainjon (ONERA).
Then captivating presentations on quantum technologies and on applications of radar data from satellites set the stage for the discussions and workshops that followed. Participants were immediately immersed in the fascinating world of SAR satellite radar, stimulating their curiosity and enthusiasm.
Throughout the day, several workshops and parallel sessions were offered, covering a wide range of topics such as Radar Signal Processing and AI, Radar systems and Quantum technologies.
One of the highlights of the workshop was the discussion and networking sessions. Participants had the chance to share their experiences, ask questions, and exchange ideas. These interactions not only enriched everyone’s knowledge but also paved the way for potential future collaborations.
Coffee breaks and lunch were also privileged moments to strengthen bonds between participants. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, discussions continued, and new ideas emerged. These informal moments played a crucial role in strenghting the collaboration in the frame of SONDRA Lab.
At the end of the workshop, the feedback was extremely positive, with many participants highlighting the quality of the presentations, the relevance of the topics covered, and the impeccable organization of the event.
